Brody Sweeney gives an insight to starting up your own business in a recession

To celebrate Global Business Incubation Day on Monday December 8th the LINC Centre hosted a breakfast seminar with keynote speaker Brody Sweeney of O'Brien's sandwich bars. Brody gave an inspiring talk about his experience setting up his own business in the recession of the late 80's. According to Brody there are three key elements to having a successful business:

 

 

  1. The person
  2. The idea/concept
  3. The location

 

 

His talk was followed by an informative panel Q&A session with Brody Sweeney, Gerard O'Brien Enterprise Ireland and Ken Germaine CEO BASE Centre.
The event was sponsored by Fingal County Council, Fingal County Enterprise Board and the LINC.
