There was a warm reception for the two Dubliners from the ITB students who thronged the lecture theatre to hear both speak at the launch of the new course.
Pat Fenlon told the students that 'despite all the doom and gloom due to the economic downtown, you all have a massive opportunity to pursue a career combining your main interest, Sport, with Business.' Dessie Farrell echoed these sentiments stressing the importance of education for those involved in Sport. He explained that, 'in sport there is a symbiotic relationship between the participants, coaches and administrators and the Sports Management and Coaching course at ITB incorporate all three facets'.
