ITB Computing students will be working to design, develop, test & publish a free-to-download mobile phone application for the National Museum of Ireland.
This app for both iOS & Android devices will provide up to date information about museum events, exhibitions, competitions, features and objects for all four of the museum sites.

The project will be an Open Source Project allowing developers to take advantage of free development tools and services and also meaning that the National Museum know there are no complex issues regarding licensing of the software for their use.

Dr. Matt Smith (Senior Lecturer in Computing, ITB) will be leading the software development for this project and will be co-ordinating with Ms. Lorna Elms (Education & Outreach Department, National Museum of Ireland - Country Life).

The project provides current students with a great opportunity to work with a real-world client for a computing project from start to finish and the resulting documents and software will provide future students with a detailed case study to enhance their learning.
