ITB is delighted to be hosting an exciting mathematics workshop titled ‘Maths and Sport: Countdown to the Games throughout Maths Week 2012.
Maths Week Ireland promotes awareness, appreciation and understanding of maths through a huge variety of events and activities.

The Project promises to make maths fun for first year students from Blakestown Community School, Luttrellstown Community College, Hartstown Community School, Setanta Community College, Riversdale Community College, Mount Sackville Secondary School, Rathoath College and Coolmine Community School.

Maths and Sport: Countdown to the Games is part of the “The Millennium Mathematics Project” the award-winning Project at the University of Cambridge.  This is a collection of hands-on mathematical puzzles, games and activities which are designed to promote creative approaches to mathematics and strategic thinking to stimulate mathematical curiosity.  Over 280 students will attend throughout the week.
