ITB recently ran an innovative project entitled, "Are You Pink or Purple - Young Women in Technology" with the aim of creating awareness about technology among female school students. The project involved clinics in ITB followed by field trips to IBM & Ebay to give students an insight into what goes on in the real world. |
The initial project had students from Blakestown Community School & Hartstown Community School. This Dormant Account project is the remit of the Access Office at ITB and is funded by the Higher Education Authority. The Access Office at ITB is responsible for coordinating and developing the Institute's Access Programme and for implementing policies to ensure that access to third level education becomes a reality for students who are currently under represented at third level. |
