![]() President of Ireland, Mary McAleese, was the guest of honour to celebrate the success of ITB's Dormant Account Rainbow Projects on Monday, 28th March 2011. Over 200 students from local schools were present on the occasion which kicked off with a magic show followed by the President's visit. |
Local school students put up an impressive display of their Rainbow projects. The projects included Gardening Clubs, a Formula 1 competition, mentoring for schools, Digital media and much more. The Dormant Account Rainbow project is the remit of the Access Office at ITB and is funded by the Higher Education Authority. |
The Access Office is responsible for coordinating and developing the Institute's Access Programme and for implementing policies to ensure that access to third level education becomes a reality for students who are currently under represented at third level. |
