Congratulations to Stephen Boylan who won the LINC sponsored scholarship for the MSc in Technology Entrepreneurship. The scholarship includes incubation space in the LINC, mentorship and tuition fees to the tune of €5000. Stephen's final-year project, an interactive gutiar tutor, was one of many projects demonstrated at our recent project eveneing. |
The projects were reviewed by Gerard Butler from Enterprise Ireland, Gerry Bedford from Iompar Logisitcs (a client company based in the LINC) and Assumpta Harvey Manager of the LINC. All were highly impressed with the quality of the projects. |
Stephen's project was particularly noted for its very strong innovation, technical achievement and commercialisation potential and was further strengthened by the submission of a business-plan supporting his idea the Enterprise-Ireland student awards. The MSc will hopefully afford Stephen further time and space to develop his idea while fine-tuning his skills and knowledge for entrepreneurship. Hopefully, it won't be long before we see the fruits of Stephen's project being used by music students. |
