The"Student Guide to Viewing Exam Results"gives a step-by-step guide to viewing your examination results

The closing date for application and payment for deferred and repeat Autumn Examinations (including Continuous Assessments, project and practical work) was Friday 30th June 2017. After this date an additional late fee of €100 is charged, a total of €200.

Registration

Students who have successfully passed all modules (i.e. have obtained 60 credits and a GPA of 2 or greater) will receive an email to register online before Friday 22nd September 2017.

Students who have failed Modules or who have 60 credits but a GPA of less that 2.00 and wish to return to college must do the following:

1. Attend the Information Session on Thursday 21st September for your school at the time below

  • School of Informatics and Engineering Block A Room A57 at 10.00am
  • School of Business Block E Room E225 at 1pm
  • School of Humanities Block E Room E214 at 12pm

The Information Session is extremely important for students to discuss their options, the modules they must repeat and have their repeat and attend form signed.

2. Apply to Repeat and Attend Classes for a Course or Module(s) 4FSS02 - Print your exam results and bring a copy of your results to the Information Session on Thursday 21st September. Priority assessment will be given to students who attend this session and submit their form before Friday 22nd September.

OR

3. Apply to Progress Carrying Credits if you meet the eligibility criteria (i.e. only students who have a GPA of 1.66 or greater and achieved 50 credits can apply to progress carrying credits). You must apply online before Friday 22nd September, Click here attend the information session on Thursday 21st September and monitor your student email for updates regarding your application. If you are not eligible to progress carrying you will receive an email to your student email account to apply to repeat and attend.

 

Viewing Scripts, Review/Recheck and Appeal of Examination Results

Students who have applied f or a review/recheck of examination results are advised to read the procedure to be followed Examination Script Inspection and Result Recheck and Appeals Procedure 3AS10

Exit Awards

Embedded “Exit” award application

Students wishing to terminate their studies prior to the completion of an entire programme may, where a lesser award exists and having successfully completed the requisite number of NFQ level of credits apply for an exit award by completing the form 4FAS23

For example a Degree level 7 student having successfully completed years 1 and 2 and accumulated 120 credits may wish to apply for an exit award of a NFQ Level 6 Higher Certificate (if available).

This form is not to be used for students who wish to temporarily withdraw from a programme and return at a later date. Students who are awarded an exit award may not immediately register (within the next academic year) on any follow-on course to the course for which the exit award has been obtained.

Retain Honours

Application to retain Honours (or Merit/Distinction) award classification on exceptional grounds

This form is to be used by a learner when applying to an examination board for consideration to retain Honours (or Merit/Distinction) award classification on an exceptional basis.

Digital Grademailers (Transcripts of Results)

Electronic transcripts of examination results, known as "Digital Grademailers" are available to all students at the following link: https://edocs.ancheim.ie/itb/ 

All fees must be paid in full. To access your Digital Grademailers at the link above you will need your student ID number (Bxxxxxxxx) and PIN to log in (the same PIN you use to access your exam results). Hard copy transcripts of results are no longer produced.

*Students who sat examinations in August 2017 will be issued transcripts in the coming weeks.

It is Institute policy for the Exams Office not to give examination results out over the telephone.

 

Secure Electronic Transcripts of Examination Results

With effect from Autumn 2013, transcripts of ratified results are available as a secure electronic document. Hard copies of results will no longer be posted to students after each exam board. As soon as these electronic documents are processed students have the option of printing the transcript if necessary. You will need your student ID number (Bxxxxxxxx) and PIN to log in to the electronic document system.

Requesting a Duplicate Parchment, Transcript of Results or Single Subject Certificate

(Do not use this link if you are requesting transcripts from 2013/14 onwards- See Electronic Transcripts above)

If your results were ratified before August 2013 and you have lost or misplaced the original paper transcript or parchment or single subject certificate, you may request and pay for a duplicate copy using our online system. ***Only use this facility where your results were ratified before the introduction of Electronic Transcripts/Grademailers (before Aug 2013)
*NB Please note that during exam time the turnaround for requests for duplicate transcripts/parchments/single subject certificates is 5 working days
